THERE'S NO BETTER OPPORTUNITY THAN THE ONE YOU GIVE YOURSELF TO CORRECT YOURSELF,AND, FROM THERE, TO CONSCIOUSLY GO IN SEARCH OF THE THINGS THAT MAKE YOU TRULY HAPPY.

 Julio Manguero

As stipulated in its status, the heart of the Congo Real Association's action is to preserve and protect Afro-Cuban cultural traditions: songs, rites, dances and languages, and to ensure that they are properly passed on to new generations, in particular to Cuba's children, so that they can benefit from cultural development and grow up in a context that facilitates their integration into society and enables them to make their contribution to humanity by being aware of who they are.

We are convinced that the practice and teaching of these traditional dances, languages and songs are essential elements in order to preserve this ancestral knowledges, and that they must be seen and understood as bearers of meaning and history with a particular role and function in society.

We also aspire to carry out cultural exchange projects with individuals and communities from different parts of the world, to encourage dialogue and exchange, and to honor otherness and differences.

ART HAS NO BORDERS, NO RACE,
NO COLOR

Art doesn't have any border, race, nor color, but it has the capacity to unite people of different races and colors in the same essence,

to make them share a cultural activity totally different from those they know, to make them respect it and even adopt it as their own. Because the power of art transcends borders.

LA TRIBU REAL
DE JULIO MANGUERO

La Tribu Real is a folklore group founded in Geneva, Switzerland, by master Julio Geovanny Torriente, better known as Julio Manguero.
The group brings together people of different nationalities, with the aim of showing the world that art is one of the most powerful spiritual lights in existence, enabling human beings to learn to connect directly with themselves, and to align themselves with their own personality.

In less than a year, the result was visible when the group began performing at various festivals and tours in Europe, as many people identified with seeing their compatriots, work and school colleagues dancing, playing and singing Afro-Cuban music on different stages, even though they had all grown up in different cultures.

The most interesting part of this story is that some members of the first wave of the group had disowned their place of origin because they were ashamed of their roots, but after having lived in the flesh the experience of feeling within themselves the essence of the roots of another culture totally different from their own, and of feeling bound to it as if they had been born into its essence, they didn't think twice and went to their places of origin. They went there not for vacation, but exclusively to seek the essence of their roots, and now they live connected in their identity, very proud of their roots and their place of origin.

So much so that in their social media profiles, you'll find them with their first name and, as a surname, the place of origin or culture to which they belong, so that the world knows how proud they are of their origins.

That's why it's so important to pass on culture to new generations, so that from an early age they grow up aware of who they are, and instead of being ashamed of their culture, they feel truly proud to be children of their origins.  Wherever they are in the world, they will feel fully enlightened and supported in their identity.

ART
IS IDENTITY

Three very important questions to ask yourself before starting a project.

1 WHAT YOU WANT. 2 WHY YOU WANT IT, 3 WHAT YOU WANT IT FOR.

Because they are three powerful keys of light that will bring you faith, willpower,

and perseverance so that no matter how many obstacles cross your path, you will never give up.

The only option that should shine in your thoughts is to see your goals come true.

YOUR ART IS THE VERY ESSENCE OF YOUR IDENTITY, YOUR PERSONALITY,YOUR JOIE DE VIVRE AND YOUR RAISON D'ÊTRE.FOR THIS REASON,

NEVER LET ANYONE SPOIL THE CHARISMA OF YOUR ART, SO THAT NO NEGATIVE FORCE IN THE WORLD CAN TARNISH THE BRILLIANCE
OF YOUR PERSONALITY.
