IN CONGO REAL, WE WORK TO PROMOTE AND SAFEGUARD
AND SAFEGUARDING CULTURAL TRADITIONS
At the heart of our work is the preservation and protection of the traditions inherited from African culture: songs, rituals, dances and languages. And to ensure that they are properly passed on to new generations, especially children, so that they benefit from cultural development within and grow up in a context that facilitates their integration into society and fosters their contribution to humanity by being aware of who they are.

The essence of our work is to carry out socio-cultural actions aimed at promoting and maintaining the ancestral intangible heritage of African folklore, which has been preserved and passed down from generation to generation since colonial times, and is still today at the heart of Afro-Cuban culture.

We are convinced that the practice and teaching of these traditional dances, languages and songs are essential elements in safeguarding this ancestral knowledge, and that they must be seen and understood as bearers of meaning and history
of meaning and history, with a particle role and function in society.
We also carry out cultural exchange projects.
WHO ACCEPTS HIS ROOTS LIVES IDENTIFIED WITH HIMSELF
IN WHATEVER PART OF THE WORLD HE FINDS HIMSELF.

For Orlando Álvarez González and all the members of the Afro-Cuba group from Matanzas, being a member of the group is more than a gift, it's a blessing from (OLOFÍN - GOD) as they can live on passing on the heritage left by their ancestors.

Cuban rumba is a musical genre born of various African rhythms brought to Cuba by slaves, mainly from Central Africa, during the colonial period. It has its origins in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and is made up of three variants: YAMBÚ, GUAGUANCO and COLUMBIA.
It is considered one of the most authentic cultural manifestations of the Cuban people.
Rumba cunaba succeeded from scratch in being recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2016.
That's why, more than the interest in producing the Roots of Rumba series, it's a commitment to the ancestors who, thanks to the rich musical heritage they left us, gave birth to this beautiful genre called Rumba. And to all the rumberos who are in heaven today, who have not been able to see how far Rumba has progressed, to all those who love it with all their heart and who help to maintain the heritage of this beautiful cultural event, which transcends borders a little more every day.
